Barrios wins $450M NASA technical integration recompete
The company won the predecessor contract in 2020 and is poised to continue its support of programs like the International Space Station.
Barrios Technology has won a potential six-year, $450 million contract to continue its technical integration and other professional services in support of NASA’s human spaceflight programs.
The new Mission Technical Integration Contract begins on Oct. 1 with a two-year base period to be followed by up to four option years through 2031, NASA said Monday.
MTIC’s scope of services includes program and business management, configuration and data management, IT services, systems engineering and integration, mission integration, safety and mission assurance, and operations.
NASA set up MTIC as the follow-on to the Human Space Flight Technical Integration contract, which Barrios won in 2020. GovTribe data indicates the company has received $338 million in obligations since.
Work primarily supports activities at NASA’s Johnson Space Center and programs such as the International Space Station, Orion and Gateway.
Like its predecessor, the new MTIC contract is a small business set-aside program. NASA received three bids in total for MTIC, according to Federal Procurement Data System records.
