This is acquisition number nine for Anduril since it opened for business in 2017.

Anduril has agreed to acquire a manufacturer of tactical communications systems as part of a continued push to incorporate more hardware into its autonomous technologies including software.

Klas is headquartered in Ireland and specializes in compact computers and internet equipment, which the company designed to help soldiers communicate and operate unmanned vehicles in environments without power and connectivity.

Anduril plans to integrate Klas’ products with Lattice, an artificial intelligence-centric software it designed to power its autonomous systems. Terms of the transaction announced Monday were not disclosed.

With Klas in its fold, Anduril says it now can adapt edge computing and communications to more specific needs of a mission or fielded system to a greater extent. Klas’ flagship Voyager compute and networking system has been deployed as part of Anduril’s Menace family of systems.

This acquisition is Anduril’s ninth since it opened for business in 2017 and also marks the establishment of a new office in Dublin to complement its presence across Europe, the U.K., Australia, Japan and Taiwan.
