NASA presses pause on SEWP VI
Industry will have a new deadline to get their bids in for the governmentwide IT vehicle after NASA completes a review of the procurement.
NASA has apparently been inundated with questions over certain aspects of the recompete of its massive IT products and services contract vehicle that the agency wants more time to consider them.
With that in mind, NASA announced Thursday that it is implementing a "strategic pause" on the Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement VI vehicle until further notice.
The due date for proposals was previously pushed out to Aug. 28 from the original July 11 date, but that deadline will be extended following the completion of the review.
NASA expects that review to take "a few weeks," but the new notice does not provide much detail on what the agency is looking at.
The agency did say it will review both the final solicitation and questions from industry to determine if it has to make "substantive clarifications or changes." An industry day will also take place to discuss those changes with industry.
A new deadline for proposals will be set and announced after the review and industry day takes place, NASA added.
