Air Force opens proposal window for $485M cyber training contract
Work will support a squadron charged with providing initial and advanced information operations and cyber training across the Air Force.
The Air Force is now ready for industry to start working on their bids in pursuit of a potential five-year, $485 million contract to help the service branch train uniformed personnel on cyber matters.
Air Force leaders have reserved the contract for 8(a) small businesses and structured it to support the 39th Information Operations Squadron, which is charged with providing initial and advanced information operations and cyber training across the Air Force.
Bids for this third iteration of the Cyber Operations Formal Training Support contract are due by 11 a.m. Eastern time on June 20, the Air Force said in a Monday notice to release the final solicitation.
Some examples of course offerings available under the contract include cyberspace operations, information operations, expeditionary communications and instructor training.
Work will also support other organizations including Air Combat Command, Air Forces Cyber and Cyber Command.
CYOFTS III’s period of performance covers an initial 10-month base and four individual option years, which could be followed by another six-month extension.
Tyonek Global Services is the incumbent contractor on CYOFTS II, having won the program in 2019 and subsequently being awarded a pair of extensions. The company is performing work under a $98 million bridge contract that was awarded in February and is slated to expire in February 2027, according to Deltek data.
